Truly a fantastic experience. Incredibly close to the Plaza, but secluded enough that you don’t “hear” the city. Staff... was extremely helpful and friendly. Accommodations were second to none!read more

Cozy, friendly space at a reasonable price. Breakfast and coffee were exceptional, room was spacious, quiet, and... extraordinarily comfortable. Jacuzzi was only generously big enough for two, but that can be a feature as much as a bug.read more

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast and very nice staff. The room was very nice, however, it was uncomfortably warm and there... was little the staff could do to lower the temperature as the AC was for the whole floor and rooms don’t have the ability to control their own temperature. The room (Col Robert Van Horne) really needed a window AC unit. The staff was very nice when we brought this to their attention but they could only offer another fan, which simply pushed warm air around.read more

The Southmoreland provides a delightful stay for corporate guests with a fantastic rate. I hate staying in hotels so... this was a really great alternative that was even cheaper than a hotel. The Inn is beautiful and the grounds are magnificent! The rooms were very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was quiet and no street noise or loud city noise. The only thing I heard was the people staying in the room above me on the last night. My only complaint is that in the Carriage house bottom floor suite there is a huge window right above the bed with no shades. It made me a little uncomfortable as there is another building with windows that could see into the room. I would not change clothes any where near the window. If they could include some shades I think that would better. The breakfast during the week was good and I would not really consider this continental as they do, because it was better than anything you would get at a hotel! It was delicious! Since I was traveling for work I was the only one in the dining area because it was so early. It was a great way to start my day!The Inn keeper, I think her name was Emily was so nice and such a delight! She helped me whenever I needed it and answered my questions. It's also a short walk down the street and through a park to the Plaza area. Lots of restaurants and stores to visit.I would highly recommend the Southmoreland to anyone visiting Kansas City!!!read more

It's a very nice B&B at a reasonable price. Easy walk to the Plaza or the art museum. The hotel itself feels nice with... good security measures. The parking though is not great, So be 0re0ared to park along the street which can feel pretty cramped because of the large apartment complex across the street.read more

We stayed here about a month ago. My wife absolutely love it! It was squeeky clean and very cozy.
