Southmoreland on the Plaza is a unique venue for an intimate Kansas City wedding and/or reception. Our facility can accommodate events held either indoors in our enclosed verandah and dining room or outdoors on the Southmoreland on the Plaza grounds. We pride ourselves on working with our customers to create a personalized event that will be pleasing to them and their guests.

Facility tours require appointments which can be scheduled by emailing us at southmoreland@clemonslife.com. Tours are typically Monday-Wednesday from 11:00am-3:00pm.

Facility Rental

Facility rental for wedding and/or reception events varies depending on duration of wedding, number of guests, and room accommodations. Please consult a manager for further details. In order to reserve the facility, a non-refundable fee of 50% of the facility rental (by credit or debit) is required.

Available Times

If a group reserves all of the guest rooms (the 12 rooms in the main house as well as the Carriage House suites), they may choose to have their event any time during their stay. This includes evening events.  Facility rental fees still apply. 

Food and Beverage

You may use any vendor you wish; please provide a list of your vendors to us ahead of time.

Terms

All arrangements must be confirmed with a credit or debit card. If the client prefers not to provide a credit or debit card, full payment in the form of a check must be made in advance. Final charges are due and payable via check upon receipt of services. Any damages to the property or its contents will be assessed and charged to the reserving guest.

Honeymoons

Our rooms offer two-person Jacuzzis, private decks or fireplaces which are ideal for a romantic evening. Since we are located just one and a half blocks from Kansas City Missouri’s Country Club Plaza, the two of you may continue your celebration at one of the many local restaurants or attractions.
