We rented the entire main house and carriage house for our “Epic Christmas 2024”. Everyone RAVED about how great the Southmoreland Inn was. We had use of the kitchen, and didn’t lack for cooking equipment and some ingredients. The staff, mainly Justin, gave us great orientation and access, and he answered all our questions promptly. Southmoreland definitely helped make our stay epic.

Very nice place. Love the history and how the property has been taken care of over the years honoring its past. The art and decor inside is awesome. The outdoor patio, social spaces are really nice. The walls are thin as expected in a small historical building of this age so you can hear conversations very well in the next room. All hours of the night. But the rooms are cozy, well maintained. The local food recommendations are great!

We booked the entire property for 4 nights while in KC for our son’s wedding. It was absolutely the perfect location. Very comfortable, clean and has everything you need. We enjoyed evenings and meals on the patio. If you have a large group for an event, I can highly recommend that you consider Southmoreland!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The inn was in a great location, quiet neighborhood, safe area. We had our anniversary staycation and wanted to be close to home but far enough to be on a mini weekend getaway. It was a great place to stay. We stayed in Southmoreland's the George Kessler suite in Carriage House.
