Like Southmoreland’s last three sets of owners, Mary Atkins was a teacher. Her bequest was the original endowment for Kansas City’s art museum. A quiet soul, Mary would have enjoyed this cozy peach room with copper accents, green velvet queen-sized bed, private bath and small balcony.
